i knew you'd have my back! yeah i found this thing sitting in the street. got a lot of classic stuff showing up for some reason. never know what the head honchos are gonna get up to here.
[ Merle's texting kinda peters out after that. This is either suspicious, because it's Merle and god only knows what that means, or not particularly suspicious because it's Merle and if he looked away from his phone for two minutes he'd forget he was texting someone.
Once beneath a cave roof dreary, while she pondered, weak and weary, Past and present, future tellings, friends' weird taste in home decor-- As she chilled out, did some hanging, suddenly there came a clanging, As of someone's wood arm banging, banging, but not at the door. It's out the window, strange wonder, banging just a little more-- What's it being so loud for?
why did merle, magicless, think it would be a great idea to take the vroom broom up eight floors to start hitting windows and stuff? how many other windows has he it? at least one for sure, because he cracked it on accident. ]
(Lucretia does presume that this is the end of the conversation when Merle fails to reply within five minutes, which is fine. This is not the first time that Merle has just let a conversation fade out and it won't be the last.
But Lucretia, sitting lonely eight flights up the spire, saw only A strange sight, as if her friend had some how flown a couple floors. Not with magic he had uttered—nor a feather that he fluttered— 'Till she scarcely more than muttered, saw Merle Highchurch, saw him soar On his vroom broom without caution, something she had seen before.
(She reaches out and grabs his arm to try and pull him in. Usually she wouldn't worry so much over Merle doing something stupid, but here their bodies aren't exactly as infallible as they're used to them being!)
It would be great if you could apply a modicum of caution to this situation! Like, whenever you're ready!

Does this belong to you, or are you simply bouncing ideas off of me? Because I vote absolutely yes.

Do you think if you knelt on it you could make it look like the legs are your legs?
no subject
... you know what, i think youre onto something. if i can make it look like the legs are my legs how about i commission a portrait?
no subject
... Are you roundabout asking me if I'll do it?
(This entire situation is so amazing.) I'd love to.

this is gonna be great! a portrait will really make the place more homey.

And if I'm something to hang in it I'm assuming I'll actually get invited about at some point, right?
(Like there's... Taako to dodge, but she'd like to see their place all the same.)

Flinging open the right window, quoth Lucretia:)
