Her legs feel a bit shaky at the thought of it, but she forces herself to keep walking away after she recovers from her coughing fit, because the air is still sharp and hot about them: the fire won't let them take a moment to catch their breath. Then she stops dead, turning around: there are still people milling about around them, a little crowd steadily heading south.)
