As if I fucking know. He was worried and shit, after... after. [After their fight.] And I blew him off cause I'm an asshole but I apologized I guess and we're good now? We keep going on dates but that's like, it, nothing else.

Oh, the suspense.

(She's being sarcastic because Taako knows how she feels about Rin. Which is confused, mostly, because he's started being quite sincere with her recently, but perhaps as a joke?? Lucretia is on high alert.)

Well, whatever makes you happy, Taako.

[spellslots]

[He knows how she felt about Rin, sure, but there's something frustrating about the sarcasm, about the fact she clearly doesn't trust his judgement, and his mood sours.]

Because, (she shoots back, folding her arms as she considers her phone.)

[Maybe if Lucretia had spent as much time with Rin as Taako had, he might take her opinion more seriously, but he just feels like she made a snap judgement that she won't back down from.]

Every time we talk he just ends up negging me until I don't know what else to say to him! How am I supposed to know him?

(So maybe she's stubborn, and is annoyed with herself for being overly cautious? Sue her.)

(Lucretia isn't sure how to answer this for a moment. She lets the question hang in the air for a beat, considering. It's probably not what he wants to hear, but it is the truth.)

If he does, he isn't worth it Taako.

[It's maybe not quite the answer he'd like to hear, but.]

[It's... odd, having some kind of baseline to compare to, knowing that things are going to develop with Kravitz when he returns back to Fearun.]

Can you like, give him a chance? You don't gotta like him but can you not go into every conversation thinking he's being nasty or whatever?

[scholiast]

(Lucretia has to internally wrestle with herself for a moment over this because her impulse is to refuse, but she's supposed to be trying to patch things up with Taako. That, and she knows she's being ridiculous. It's hard to admit that she might have been wrong, something that she kind of hates about herself.)
