(She makes a face.) Are you talking about uhhh. Rin?

Yeah, Rin!

[The poor only other elf in this entire place.]

Do you know him?

[scholiast]

Uh, I know of him.

He tricked me with cards during a meet-and-greet in my first month here.

[umbrastaff]

Hah! I knew there had to be something fun about him!

[scholiast]

Sure.

But... I don't know. Be careful, Lup. He's suspicious.

(For SOME reason.)

[umbrastaff]

Don't worry, Luce.

[She casts Minor Illusion to light a still flame in her hand.]

Cha girl knows how to handle suspicious guys. Now I gotta get him back for scamming you, too.

[scholiast]

This is only a hunch, Lup, (she says, and reaches out warily to push Lup's lit hand down.)

Don't go doing anything drastic.

[umbrastaff]

[It disappears as soon as it's touched, since it's just a cantrip. Lup smiles, though, and shakes her head.]

It's fiiine, I like him and you know I'm good at dealing with possibly creeps.

[scholiast]

That is true. I suppose I can trust you, then.

(She grins suddenly, to show that she's just messing about.) Um, anyway you should let me introduce you to Beverly, and Cain.

[umbrastaff]

[She winks at that and then looks a little curious.]

That your new buddies? Definitely wanna meet 'em, see if they know how to appreciate you.

[scholiast]

Uh huh. They're both really nice. Um, Cain is the one I'm teaching magic to right now, and Beverly is–

Lup, she's from a space ship too! She's traveling her version of our planar system with a crew and everything. She's a doctor. Isn't that amazing?

(She's clearly a bit enamoured with the whole situation.)

[umbrastaff]

[She perks up a bit more at that, because that sounds pretty damn cool and she is kind of a researcher.]

Wait, really? That's fucking awesome! Is she like... a competent version of Merle? What's their planar system like?

[scholiast]

Yeah, basically.

(Haha, rude dig. Lucretia sniggers.) I don't know, I haven't asked her yet. But, um, I'm having coffee with her again soon. She's been reading my journal.

[umbrastaff]

Oh, you should definitely ask her, it would be cool to hear if they're any different or the same. All these worlds are so interesting!

Oooh, so she knows about us?

[scholiast]

I'll definitely ask her. I love hearing about everybody's worlds here, Lup. There are just so many we haven't explored.

(She smiles ruefully.) I guess in a way, I hope we never do, huh.

But yeah, I've told her all about you.

[umbrastaff]

They're all so different.

[She sighs wistfully.]

Maybe we can visit them all later... when we don't have the Hunger chasing us.

[There's a pause and Lup gives Lucretia an amused look.]

Great, now I can never meet her, because she'll run away.

[scholiast]

I know... there's so many that I'd love to go back to as well, you know? So we could have more time to explore.

(She laughs then, confused.)

What do you mean by that?

[umbrastaff]

Fuck yes. I bet Magnus would kill to go back to puppy planet.

[Lup chuckles too and rolls her eyes.]

All the shit me and Taako get into that you've written down? She'd balk at the explody gal.

[She leans in a little closer, stage whispering.]

It was a joke.

[scholiast]

Well, it was a bad joke, (she stage whispers back, and gives Lup a little grin.)

And I think she's had her share of space adventure, so I don't think an explody gal is about to put her off.

You should come with me sometime, and meet her.

[umbrastaff]

I definitely want to. She sounds rad as hell and I'd love to learn about her planes.

[scholiast]

Okay. (Yay, she gets to do the introducing for once!) I'll send her a message and let her know.
