Got some good news and bad news.

Good news: Magnus showed up
Bad news: He's fresh off the Starblaster in Fearun and hasn't met me again yet so like, we've got ourselves a fucking moral quandary.

We're need an IPRE meeting when you get back, me you and Lup, just thought you might like a heads up in case you're checking the network while you're doing your thing.

(She hasn't been checking the network at all actually, so his text sends her through an array of emotion. She immediately sends back:)

I'll be home in a few days. I can access the network here but perhaps I should lay off until we've discussed our plan of attack? That and, um... what are you telling him, exactly? He must know something's up if you've both greeted him colloquially.

I told him I know him from the future. I thought that'd be less fucking insane than "hey we knew each other but we're from a different world and a weird magic fish ate our memories".

Lup was vague with him, I'll talk to her as soooon as I get home

(She smiles at that, even through her nervousness. Oh Magnus.)

Would it be a pain if I asked you to keep me updated on this?

I summed him up in less than a sentence and he was sold. Love the guy.

[Magnus can be a pretty good tactician, and he's not stupid, but sometimes he's too trusting for his own good.]

Of course I will. This is pretty fucking wild.

[And he feels like honestly, Lucretia has more of a stake in this than any of them, though he's going to... wait, to tell her about the ichor that he has left over, just because the last thing she needs is to worry about that for a few more days.

They can talk about it once she's back.]

Love the guy. (She echoes, grinning at her phone now. Even though Magnus doesn't remember anything it's still good to know that he's here, and safe. And able to be persuaded at the drop of a hat, Gods.)

Aside from all of this crap, what's been going on back home? I miss you two.

[As much as he wants to keep kind of gently panicking about this, focusing on something else is probably smart, for now. They can talk about the Magnus problem in person.]

I nearly died in a dream AND real life! Don't mix magic with weird powers, turns out it results in bad news.

It's been pretty chill aside from that, there's a river festival but there's a whole lotta hard work involved after the acid rain so Taako's good out here.

(Good grief. Apparently a lot has been going on back home.)

Well, festivals and me haven't been on the best of terms lately, so I suppose that's no big loss. And I know I only have a couple days left here but please continue to try not to die either in a dream or for real before I get back, okay?

The acid rain wasn't an issue, what with the whole like, magic thing I've got going on.

Nah we're good AND I discovered that if I spellcast in whatever kinda weird dream thing we were trapped in, that shit doesn't count as a spell slot.
