[Smiling at Lucretia, Lup imagines her journals all filled with these photos, and it's really sweet. She should show her the Polaroid thing one day, and Lucretia could just tape pictures in her book.

The question about an art shop makes Lup beam, though, and she flops over a bit in the bed.]

Oh yeah! They had some store with a paint brush on it, I bet they have art supplies. Gonna brighten up your office?

I know you don't need to do it at all if you don't wish, but unfortunately I have to get at least eight hours in or else I become cranky. You know this.

(They all know how bad overtired Lucretia can get.)

No, my office is fine as is– I just want to get back into the habit. Besides, there are some amazing views around here... I'd love to paint the river, for example.

Ugh, true. Nobody deserves Tired Lucretia.

[Not that Lup was the most morning-happy person after her trance or naps.

She beams at hearing her friend's idea, though.]

Oh, I'd love to see that. You should check out the aquarium, too. They have jellyfish like Fisher there, only less shiny and smart.

I don't even deserve Tired Lucretia.

(She winks.)

There's an aquarium here? (Well, consider her sold.) This place is so full of stuff, Lup. I could wander for days and only see half of it.

There is! It's amazing, isn't it? I saw the zoo, too. Well, some of it before I was too drunk and just tried to talk to a bird for the rest of the evening.

[She shakes her head.]

I can only imagine. Did you have a good time?

(She's making a mental note to go check out the zoo as well... maybe she can get in some good sketch time there.)

(She will never understand these two and their drinking habits.) You making friends, then?

[She snorts at that, amused.]

Yeah, I've met some pretty cool people. Mostly Taako's friends, though.

[scholiast]

Maybe you should come and meet some of my friends some time. They're cooler than Taako's friends.

[umbrastaff]

Oh, definitely! In both regards.

[scholiast]

I love that I said 'some of my friends' as if I don't only have two friends.

(She makes a face.) Not including you both, of course.

[umbrastaff]

[There's a little laugh.]

Of course. They are both very, very good friends.

I bet you'll be popular here, Lup.

[umbrastaff]

...and yeah I've met some fun people so far, but I think the closest I get to a friend that wasn't Taako's first is this drow guy. He's all pretty manners and flowery shit so far but I'm gonna dig out some cool guy outta him soon enough.

[scholiast]

Well, there's– hang on.

(She makes a face.) Are you talking about uhhh. Rin?

[umbrastaff]

Yeah, Rin!

[The poor only other elf in this entire place.]

Do you know him?

[scholiast]

Uh, I know of him.

He tricked me with cards during a meet-and-greet in my first month here.

[umbrastaff]

Hah! I knew there had to be something fun about him!

[scholiast]

Sure.

But... I don't know. Be careful, Lup. He's suspicious.

(For SOME reason.)

[umbrastaff]

Don't worry, Luce.

[She casts Minor Illusion to light a still flame in her hand.]

Cha girl knows how to handle suspicious guys. Now I gotta get him back for scamming you, too.

[scholiast]

This is only a hunch, Lup, (she says, and reaches out warily to push Lup's lit hand down.)

Don't go doing anything drastic.

[umbrastaff]

[It disappears as soon as it's touched, since it's just a cantrip. Lup smiles, though, and shakes her head.]

It's fiiine, I like him and you know I'm good at dealing with possibly creeps.

[scholiast]

That is true. I suppose I can trust you, then.

(She grins suddenly, to show that she's just messing about.) Um, anyway you should let me introduce you to Beverly, and Cain.

[umbrastaff]

[She winks at that and then looks a little curious.]

That your new buddies? Definitely wanna meet 'em, see if they know how to appreciate you.
